One of Saturday Night Live’s most popular and famous skits is “More Cowbell” and on Thursday two of the participants in the sketch shared their memories. SNL alumnus Chris Kattan visited The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and the two reminisced about old times. It was a welcome conversation after Adam Sandler hosted the show on May 4, 2019, and even paid special tribute to former cast member Chris Farley.

When Chris Kattan spoke to Jimmy Fallon, they shared their memories from the skit. At one point, Jimmy Fallon broke character and had to hide his mouth behind his hand and drumsticks due to laughing so hard.

Chris Kattan went into a hilarious story of being as strong as an ant and when he pushed Will Ferrell, and said, “Don’t blow this for us, Gene,” Ferrell was astonished and amazed by Chris Kattan’s strength. Ferrell’s shirt rose above his stomach and just moments before his sunglasses flew off. Chris explained that Will Ferrell told him to push him as hard as he could, yet he was shocked and stunned by Chris’ strength when they were live on stage, doing the skit.

“I’m small but I’m built like an ant.” Chris explained.

Jimmy Fallon had a completely different memory of how the “More Cowbell” skit took place.
