Earlier this weekend, Joe Biden appeared on The Breakfast Club for a virtual discussion with Charlamagne Tha God. However, it didn’t go down as everyone hoped, mostly on account of the presidential candidate’s tonality, inflection, and how he handled the interview generally.

For instance, the part of the conversation that caused Joe the most grief was when he suggested that if any Black person in the United States was considering voting for Trump, then clearly they “ain’t black.” Social media users hated this remark.

For further context, Charlamange asked the presidential candidate if the Democrats were taking Black Americans for granted, a complaint that many on social media have also echoed. Later in the conversation, Biden suggested it was simply a no-brainer regarding whether it was good to vote for him or Trump.

Additionally, Charlamagne Tha God also suggested that Joe Biden was doing the show dirty by not appearing on it for as much time as other popular programs, including late-night television shows like Stephen Colbert’s The Late Show.

Hot New Hip Hop claims that Joe Biden has rejected a number of other interview requests from The Breakfast Club, so the discussion between Biden and Charlamagne comes with even more context.

According to the outlet, Biden went on The Breakfast Club and mostly skirted around important questions, including marijuana legalization as well as what type of running mate he would have. During the same conversation, Joe Biden said he gets a lot of support from black voters.

The, “you ain’t black,” remark that Joe said to The Breakfast Club was also viciously condemned by the only Black Republican on the Senate, Tim Scott, from South Carolina.

On his Twitter account, Tim said that around 1.3 million black people in the United States voted for Donald Trump during the last election cycle. In other words, it’s not unreasonable to assume that those very same people will be voting for Trump again this year.

As most know, Biden has been a controversial Democratic candidate for a number of reasons, for instance, his speaking problem, and his history of creeping women out.
