Joey King Wore Iris Van Herpen's Hypnosis Dress At 77th Golden Globes

Joey King was a vision to behold at the 77th Golden Globes when she wore Iris Van Herpen. Some might say she was hypnotic. The dress, formerly named “Hypnosis” was worn by Emilia Clarke when she posed for Wonderland’s winter issue. The dress looked amazing on Joey and it’s no wonder why it is a popular choice for celebrities to wear. Like its name, one gets the feeling they could go into a trance or be hypnotized by the dress’ lines that are practically an optical illusion.

The dress features spectacular sleeves that flow into a cape-effect that makes the garment visually stunning.

Jared Eng Studios is Joey’s stylist and he has succeeded once again to create a memorable look. Joey has a striking combination of brunette hair with bright blue eyes. Though she shaved her head for the role she is nominated for, Gypsy Rose Blancharde, in The Act, her hair has grown back and she looked beautiful in the ensemble.

Celebrity hairstylist Dimitri Giannetos styled Joey’s hair that was pulled back, with bangs parted on the side and swept behind her ears for a gentle face-framing effect.

Celebrity makeup artist Allan Avendano did Joey’s face and her makeup was amazing. Allan shared a close-up photo of Joey and you could see the expert makeup application, particularly on her eyes. A silver color coated Joey’s lids with black shadow feathering out from the corners in a gentle cat-eye.  A heavy sweep of mascara framed her baby blues and made her eyes pop.

Joey’s lips were a soft, pink color that complemented the pale-pink tones in her blush.

A red carpet look is nothing without the fine details and celebrity manicurist Thuy Nguyen made sure to complete Joey’s look by giving her a manicure that completely matched her dress.
