It sounds like John Cena has moved on from his painful breakup from Nikki Bella and is really happy with his new girlfriend, Shay Shariatzadeh! In fact, it really sounds like he is head over heels with her so he is really careful when it comes to their relationship.

What that means is apparently keeping it away from the public eye this time around – or at least, as much as possible – and also setting ‘boundaries!’

While on an episode of Today, Cena chatted with Andy Cohen and Hoda Kotb and used this opportunity to open up about his romance with Shay.

‘I can say with great confidence that I am extremely happy. I always try to give you a little something,’ he shared, referring to the fact that he opened up a bit about it even though he is trying to keep it all private.

But Andy was not satisfied so the host continued to ask for details.

That is when John reveal that he is treating his new relationship in a different way, explaining that: ‘Well you know every experience in life is a chance for us to know who we are and who we are not and just because I went down one avenue in life does not mean I am going to repeat going down that avenue.’

Of course, he was referring to his former relationship with Nikki Bella that lasted around six years and was very much in the spotlight the entire time.

It turns out that the failed relationship with Nikki has actually taught him a lot about ‘who you are and [that] it’s ok to establish boundaries.’
