It’s been months since Lori Laughlin’s college entrance fraud scandal but her Fuller House co-star John Stamos still can’t process what happened. The actor revealed, during a new interview for GQ magazine that he’s actually still pretty close with Lori so he’s been careful about what he says.
When asked about her involvement in the so–called Operation Varsity Blues case, Stamos said that ‘I gotta be careful. I want to wait until the trial happens, if it does, or whatever the result is, and then talk about it.’
But he mentioned that he is still very friendly with his on-screen wife and good real-life friend.
Stamos proceeded to say that her trouble with the law has been puzzling him.
‘I’ll tell you one thing that has been strange is: Honestly I can’t figure it out. It doesn’t make sense. I talked to her the morning everything hit. I just can’t process it still. Whatever happened, I’m pretty sure that the punishment is not equal to the crime, if there was a crime.’
It makes sense that the actor would be careful of what he says when it comes to Lori since they’ve worked together for so many years.
As fans remember, they’ve played a married couple on both Full House, which premiered its first season in 1987, as well as on the reboot, titled Fuller House which is set to end this year, after five seasons.
Lori and her real husband Mossimo Giannulli have both been accused of using bribes in order to get their daughters into the University of Southern California.
They are in fact part of a group of no less than 50 parents who did the same, including fellow actress Felicity Huffman.
The case, considered the biggest college entrance fraud one in the United States ever, was dubbed Operation Varsity Blues.
Lori Loughlin pleaded not guilty in court.
