Johnny Depp admits that he’s a flawed person at times. Page Six reported on the actor’s comments in court recently in which he admitted to being “jealous” on occasion. The Evening Standard claims Johnny once lectured Amber about her acting career, accusing her of using her sexuality too much.

According to the outlet, the 57-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star admitted that he and Amber would fight over her “pretty girl image.” He would repeatedly tell her to change her persona in the public eye.

Depp said to Amber that didn’t need to be “naked in films, you don’t have to do that.” Moreover, the actor urged her to stop wearing sexier outfits while on the red carpet.

However, there is an additional context for the actor’s claims. Johnny Depp says Amber didn’t want to be objectified for her looks in the Hollywood industry. For that reason, he thought it was best if she toned her image down so she could get better films.

Depp said in the court of law that he thought a more “reserved” approach would be better for securing the kind of movie roles she wanted, which were typically more serious in tone.

The actor claimed Amber would frequently talk about how she wanted to be perceived as a respectable actress, rather than as a “sex symbol.” Put simply, Depp claimed her actions were a lot different from what she said she wanted.

As it was previously reported, Depp filed a lawsuit against The Sun regarding an article from 2018, April, in which they referred to him as a “wife-beater.” Depp has repeatedly denied the allegations and claims his wife was responsible for the violence in their marriage.

The Sun is claiming Depp was abusive toward Heard, citing 14 separate incidents of violence between the periods of 2013 and 2016. As most know, Heard and Depp have been at each other’s throats ever since they first split up.

Earlier this year, his former partners, Winona Ryder, and Vanessa Pardis wrote statements in defense of the actor.
