Jojo Siwa has made quite the name for herself since debuting on Dance Moms. The teen is a multi-million dollar brand and may be nearing the end of the first phase of her fame.
Jojo is known for her bright clothes and a blonde ponytail. Her fanbase consists mainly of young children.
Some were surprised to find out that the singer with an adorable cult following is actually 17-years-old. In a recent Tik Tok, she shocked users when she let her iconic ponytail down.
On Friday night, the Dance Moms alum debuted a shocking brunette transformation.
Many people in her comment section compared this to the moment that Hannah Montana took off her blonde wig on the Disney Channel show and revealed that she was really Miley Stewart.
After Hannah Montana, Miley Cyrus went on to star in movies but also send shockwaves when she released new songs and music videos that were not kid-friendly.
Siwa also took to Instagram after she blocked certain people for writing disgusting things, commenting on her appearance, and even her sexuality.
The singer also took the time to address new blackface allegations after her music video Nonstop was subject to criticism because of a child whose face was painted brown was highlighted by viewers.
Jojo stated: ‘I would like to address the music video that we shot for ‘NONSTOP’ in February. We’re talking about kids dressing up as circus animals! No one in my video is wearing blackface. It’s awful that anyone’s mind would even go there. Kids dressing in animal costumes, having their faces painted to look like animals, acting the part. There were zebras, tigers, dogs, clowns, mermaids, everything.’

She went on to solidify her support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
‘I’ve addressed Black Lives Matter issues previously on my social media, I will say it again for the ones in the back, Black Lives Matter, today, tomorrow, yesterday and forever.’
Siwa said that she’s on the right side of history and asks people to stop making things something they are not.
