Jonah Hill recalled meeting the basketball legend alongside his late brother so the passing of Kobe Bryant is not only painful to him in itself but it also brings back bittersweet memories as well. At the end of the day, however, he is still looking back at it fondly even though neither one of the two are alive anymore.
The actor took to social media to post a pic of him at a Los Angeles Lakers game and Kobe can be seen in the background.
Furthermore, he also shared a second image that shows his late brother, Jordan Feldstein was at the game too, seated right beside Jonah.
Jordan sadly passed away back in 2017, the cause of death being a blockage of an artery and blood clot.
Alongside the pic, the actor wrote: ‘This picture became an internet thing years back and it made me laugh when I would see memes of it. I used to love ‘very awkward photos, on purpose’ whenever I was around somebody I respected and this is about as awkward as it gets. Ah, your early 20s. It is a dumb bit but I liked it at the time.’

Indeed, in the image he looked disinterested in the game and he admitted that he hesitated to post it since it’s supposed to be humorous.
However, he decided to do it in the end, since it means ‘a LOT more’ to him than just a comedic snap.
‘It was the night that we both met Kobe and he was really nice to us. So funny, amazing and kind (in the middle of the game!). My brother and I grew up worshiping Lakers and because of my job we even got to sit next to Kobe and the team! I’ve truly lived a privileged life. We were buzzing with excitement to meet our hero and it is one of my favorite memories ever. It is my favorite memory with my brother. I am sitting between Kobe and my brother and now they are both gone,’ he went on to heartbreakingly write.
Check out his whole letter as it’s touching and deeply personal!
