Approximately seven months after Juice WRLD collapsed in the Chicago International airport and subsequently died, the rapper’s record label and estate just dropped a posthumous project.
Fans of the rising star know that he died at 21-years-old, and since then, his fans and his estate have done everything in their power to preserve his memory. Hot New Hip Hop reported on rumors today that Juice WRLD had a back catalog of around 2,000 songs before he died.
The outlet says that the new project, Legends Never Die, featured over a dozen of them. His estate shared a statement in which they called attention to many of his collaborators and influences over the years.
They hoped the project would bring “reprieve” to everyone during “these unsettling times.” According to the publication, the new album features songs like “Life’s A Mess,” with Halsey and then “Come and Go,” with Marshmello.

Other songs feature vocal features from Polo G, The Kid LAROI, as well as Trippie Redd. As it was noted above, Juice WRLD collapsed and died due to drug intoxication near the beginning of the year.
Since then, fans have commemorated the fallen singer-songwriter with a number of tributes, however, other artists in the scene have taken heat for the way they handled their own shout-outs, including Lil’ Pump.
It was reported on the 26th of April, 2020, that Lil’ Pump came under fire for making reference to the rapper’s death in a way that some deemed as disrespectful and offensive.
Juice WRLD died in the Chicago O’Hare International Airport due to a combination of oxycodone and codeine. Lil’ Pump referenced the way he died in one of his songs by explaining how his mother always told him to stay away from school while on Percocet.
The line read, “like Juice WRLD, 70 pounds on a private jet.” It didn’t take long for a long line of social media users to put Lil’ Pump on blast for his lyrics.
