Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin sprinted into a new life together last year and got married in September after just a few weeks of dating. Now, a new report claims the newlyweds are in the early stages of developing their own reality show that will give fans an inside look at their relationship.
According to Radar Online, Bieber wants to give fans the opportunity “to get to know his beautiful wife,” and the format will be similar to Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey’s famous MTV show Newlyweds.
Fans who are old enough remember that was the show where Simpson famously asked Lachey if the Chicken of the Sea tuna she was eating was chicken or fish, one of the most memorable reality TV moments of all time.
Bieber is currently “down and tired” and has “been struggling,” according to insiders. But his problems have nothing to do with his new wife.
“It has nothing to do with Hailey — he is very happy being married to her. It’s just something else that he struggles with mentally,” revealed a source. “He has good help around him and is receiving some treatment. He seems confident he will feel better soon.”
Another source added that Bieber has emotionally struggled for years with the idea of fame. He started out as a super sweet, Canadian teen, but his enormous fame changed him because he had access to everything and was surrounded by “yes” men.
Vogue magazine recently interviewed Bieber and Baldwin for their March cover, and he said that his huge fame at such a young age impacted his mental health.
“I started really feeling myself too much. ‘People love me, I’m the s—,’ that’s honestly what I thought. I got very arrogant and cocky. I was wearing sunglasses inside,” Bieber said, with Baldwin adding, “At night inside.”
He also admitted that he had problems with drugs and sex when he was making millions at 20 years old. Bieber explained that he found himself doing things he was ashamed of, like being super-promiscuous and abusing Xanax.
The Baby singer said he got depressed on his Purpose world tour in 2017, and he ended up canceling it because he was lonely and needed some time. He also canceled fan meet-and-greets because he was “drained and unhappy to the point of depression.”
Hailey Baldwin has been a major source of support for Justin Bieber since they became husband and wife, and an insider says that the singer is grateful for his wife and his amazing life. However, it is difficult for him because “he can’t just enjoy everything and feel happy.”
