Kandi Burruss Reveals The Real Reason Nene Leakes Left The RHOA Reunion: 'It Had Nothing To Do With Us'

Nene Leakes made a dramatic exit on the second part of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion last Sunday. The self-proclaimed Queen of Atlanta explained that she left because she was being ganged up on by her co-stars; however, Kandi Burruss begs to differ.

Kandi recently spoke with TooFab after getting into it with Leakes on the episode. The singer revealed the real reason the Glee alum left the conversation.

‘The funny thing is she told everyone she left cause we were ganging up on her, which was a lie. We were no longer even talking about her or talking to her. The reason she got up and left was because Yovanna posted that she was about to come on the show.’

Nene did add that she thought it was unfair that Yovana Momplaisir was called on the show but other people mentioned in storylines like the infamous Cookie Lady or Marc Daly were not.

Burruss explained exactly what happened before Nene closed her laptop for the final time.

‘NeNe had already expressed to production and everybody that she did not want this girl to be able to come on the reunion. And when she realized that Yovanna posted that she was about to come on there — like when I tell you literally — two to five minutes after Yovanna posted, NeNe got up and walked away. It had nothing to do with us. She just got online and told everybody was ganging up on her. Like no. That had nothing to do with it. It was the Yovanna part that made her get up and leave.’

She went on to talk about how Nene talked a big game before the taping but did not deliver.

‘She was the one who was telling everybody how she was gonna read us — how she was gonna drag us and let us have it and all this stuff she was telling anybody who would listen. Then it’s like — she showed up at the reunion and clearly she wasn’t doing much reading.’

Do you think Yovanna’s presence was the last straw for Nene?
