Last month, Kanye West joined pastor Joel Osteen at his Lakewood Church Central Campus in Houston to speak to the congregation about his conversion to Christianity after releasing his religious-rap album Jesus Is King in October. Now, the duo has announced that they are teaming up again, and this time they plan to fill Yankee Stadium in New York City for an event titled “Night of Hope.”
According to Page Six, the Jesus Walks rapper will join Joel and his wife Victoria on Saturday, May 2, 2020, for a show that will feature praise and worship music, testimony, encouragement from Victoria, and an inspiring message from Joel.

Joel and Victoria have Night of Hope events scheduled in 11 cities across the United States in 2020, but West will only be part of the Bronx show. The expectation is that the rapper will perform with his choir after Joel’s sermon.
When he spoke at Joel’s church in Houston, Kanye said that he’s been the focus of some serious spiritual warfare for years.
“I know that God has been calling me for a long time and the devil has been distracting me for a long time,” West said.
He also talked about the lowest point in his life, which West says happened in 2016 when he had a “mental breakdown” and ended up in the hospital. He explained to Osteen’s congregation that God was there with him, sending him visions and inspiring him.

Kanye has already taken his Sunday Service to Queens this year, but the event at Yankee Stadium will be massive since there are nearly 55,000 seats in the stands plus seating on the field. That’s more seats than what Osteen has at his Lakewood Church in Houston, which used to be a multi-purpose sports arena that the Houston Rockets had their home games in.
Joel and Victoria Osteen have been touring the Night of Hope event for years, and this will be the third time they’ve taken it to Yankee Stadium. Of course, this will be Kanye’s first time there. But, after their successful collab at Lakewood, Joel Osteen and Kanye West decided to do it again, they just needed to go bigger.
Tickets for the event are not on sale yet, but Osteen sold previous Night Of Hope event tickets for $15 each.
