Kanye West Sets Up College Fund To Ensure A Good Future For George Floyd's 6-Year-Old Daughter

The rapper is making sure to use his wealth and influence for the benefit of the Black Lives Matter movement. Furthermore, he also went above and beyond for someone in particular – George Floyd’s 6-year-old daughter!

Not to mention that Kanye West did all of this behind the scenes with no expectations to be praised for his actions since he has not tweeted anything since the beginning of March!

However, according to E! News, the rapper has donated no less than $2 million in the name of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, all victims of police brutality.

In addition to that, he’s also donated to several black-owned businesses in his hometown of Chicago.

But perhaps the most touching and thoughtful thing he’s done was to open a college savings fund all for Floyd’s daughter, Gianna, 6.

The little girl has lost her father at the hands of former police officer Derek Chauvin.

The latter kneeled on Floyd’s neck for nearly 9 minutes despite him already being restrained and continued to put pressure on his neck long after the victim had become unresponsive.

This happened in broad daylight and multiple people were able to capture everything on camera.

The video has become viral and the senseless killing caused massive outrage, leading to the start of nationwide protests against racial inequality and police brutality in the United States.

As mentioned before, West also covered all of Arbery’s family’s legal costs in order to achieve justice in his case.

The man lost his life based on the color of his skin as well, since the killers suspected him of wrongdoing even though he was just leaving his house for a jog.

Last month, his wife, KUWK  star Kim Kardashian talked about racial injustice in a post that reads in part: ‘For years, with every murder of an innocent Black man, woman, or child, I’ve always tried to find the right words to express my condolences and my outrage, but the privilege I’m afforded by the color of my skin has often left me feeling like this isn’t a fight I can truly take on my own. Not today, not anymore.’

Obviously, it, unfortunately, happened again and way too soon after but hopefully, the fierce actions taken in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder will lead to actual long-lasting change.
