The actress wants her baby girl Rani Rose to grow up and be able to decide for herself who she really is. That being said, Kate Hudson explained during an interview with AOL that she has decided to use a ‘genderless approach’ while raising the newborn.
Having a daughter ‘doesn’t really change my approach, but there’s definitely a difference. I think you just raise your kids individually regardless – like a genderless [approach]. We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as. I will say that, right now, she’s incredibly feminine in her energy, her sounds and her way. It’s very different from the boys, and it’s really fun to actually want to buy kids’ clothes,’ Hudson shared with the outlet.
As fans know, Hudson and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa welcomed Rani back in October.
The star is also the mother of a 15 year old son named Ryder fathered by Chris Robinson and a 7 year old one named Bingham that she had with Muse’s Matt Bellamy.
That being said, Hudson explained that ‘With the boys, it was just onesies … actually, I did pretty good with the boys. But with her, it is a whole other ball game. There is some stuff that I’m like, ‘I can’t do that to her, because it is so over the top.”
The proud mother did however really enjoy dressing up her baby girl in a pretty extravagant outfit for the holidays and made sure to share it with her followers on social media.
Earlier this month, Hudson also told ET that she really likes to balance out the feminine and the masculine in her house as well!
