They may have married two of the most famous brothers on the planet, but that doesn’t mean that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are good friends. Following rumors of a feud between the two women, an insider says that Middleton and Markle are “so different” that it is unlikely they will ever be close.

Markle will be giving birth to her first child any day now, and the “only person on the planet” who can give the Duchess of Sussex advice on raising a royal baby is Middleton, says royal author Duncan Larcombe.

In Quest Red’s latest royal documentary Meghan and Harry: A Royal Baby Story, Larcombe said that Middleton is the only person who can advise and help Markle, but celebrity journalist Ashley Pearson says that doesn’t mean the two women have a strong bond.

“I don’t believe that Kate and Meghan are at war in the way some of the press has painted it. But, I don’t think that Meghan and Kate will ever be super good friends. They are so different. I can see Meghan asking Kate for advice about what to wear for the royal christening photo, but I think in terms of the rest of it she will do exactly what she feels is best,” said Pearson.

According to The Express, the rumors of a feud between Middleton and Markle began when reports surfaced that Markle made a very-pregnant Middleton cry during a fitting for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress last spring.

There have also been claims that Markle is too harsh on royal staff. Kensington Palace never made an official statement about the rumor, but they did make it clear that there was never an argument between Middleton and Markle over the former Suits actress treatment of staff.

The feud rumors eventually began to die down after the two women made public appearances together. During Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, the two Duchesses smiled and talked with each other. And, in March, when they were both in Westminster Abbey for Commonwealth Day, they hugged, and Middleton kissed Markle on the cheek.

Judi James, a body language expert, says that there appears to be “genuine warmth” between Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. And, of course, during their public appearance they both looked glamorous and stylish as they always do.
