Katy Perry still has Ellen DeGeneres‘ back, even though she has been accused of facilitating a terrible workplace. During a new interview with The Los Angeles Times, the 35-year-old performing artist came to bat for Ellen the second time.

Katy was one of the first celebrities to support the 62-year-old talk show host after she was outed for being a bully to subordinates on the set of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. In the LA Times interview, the Grammy Award winner claimed her tweet was never intended to “undermine” anyone’s experience.

Perry said she only wanted to talk about her own experiences working with Ellen. Perry went on to say that she has 100 million followers on Twitter, and any time she makes a point, regardless of what it is, not everyone is going to agree with her.

And Perry suggested that was fine. She added, “I’m not here to make everyone agree with me.” As it was previously reported, Perry was one of the celebs who defended Ellen on the 4th of August following the support of other celebs including Diane Keaton, Ashton Kutcher, and Kevin Hart.

Katy Perry said at the time that she only ever had “positive takeaways” whenever she worked with Ellen or when she appeared on her television show.

Ellen employees, however, have stated the exact opposite. For instance, this past month, BuzzFeed published a report in which they cited the complaints from 10 former employees who remained nameless. The complaints were about “microaggressions” and “intimidation.”

E! News says there were no allegations made against Ellen, however, other TV producers later came out to say Ellen had been guilty of bullying people as well. Since the claims were revealed, WarnerMedia launched an investigation into the show.

Earlier this year, a source who spoke with the outlet said they never noticed anything “out of the ordinary” while working on Ellen. The insider went on to say there was never anything malicious or abusive, although, “inappropriate things were said that in this climate, you can’t say now.”
