Katy Perry's Ex-Husband Russell Brand Reacts To Her Engagement To Orlando Bloom

Russell Brand has decided to apparently comment on the news that Orlando Bloom has proposed to Katy Perry during a Valentine’s Day party.

Katy‘s mother, Mary Hudson, was the first person to announce the big news and later the pop star shared a photo of the engagement ring that is valued several million dollars.

She captioned it: “full bloom.” Orlando posted the same photo with this caption, “Lifetimes.”

Katy and the actor have been dating on and off since 2016. Russell, who divorced Katy in 2011, is said to be happy for his ex-wife.

A source, who spoke to Us Weekly, explained that he is not all surprised.

The person shared: “He is not at all surprised that she has decided to marry Orlando, he feels bad that things did not work out between [him] with Katy.”

The pal of the British comedian added: “He feels bad they are not as close as they once were.”

The same insider told the media outlet that Katy is busy swimming in her engagement bliss to answer her ex.

The person explained: “Russell also feels that Katy and Orlando will have kids together soon, and he thinks they’d be cute. Russell discussed having a family with Katy, and knows that in her heart, she wants to have her own children, so he hopes that Orlando and her get that chance to fulfill her dreams of having her own family.”

At the time of the split, Russell said this: “Katy was obviously very, very occupied and busy. I was occupied and busy but not to the same degree…The marriage didn’t last for a very long time, and I think that is due to the sort of undulating nature of fame and that, living in those conditions, and what was happening.”

Russell moved on by getting married to Laura Gallacher in 2017, and they share a two-year-old daughter, Mabel. Fans are happy for Katy.
