Keira Knightley Is Coming To Hulu With TV Series The Other Typist

Keira Knightley’s fans are on cloud nine as it was announced that she is executively producing and starring in a limited television series for Hulu titled The Other Typist. Based on the Suzanne Rindell novel, Ilene Chaiken (The L Word) serves as The Other Typist’s showrunner. This is a big move for Knightley who has been nominated for two Oscars and has established herself as an A-list movie star. The leap to television is welcomed by many and news of her coming to Hulu went viral shortly after it was announced.

Keira will play the character Odalie in the Prohibition-era series that will feature Odalie and her co-worker Rose as the two work as typists in a New York police department. The two women’s relationships will be explored after a crime is committed and Rose, who was viewed as prim, proper, and innocent is then seen through a different lens.

There used to be a time when movie stars wouldn’t think of moving to television after achieving the pinnacle success of the silver screen — those days are long past. It is common to see big stars not only come to television but deliver groundbreaking performances.

Hulu is known for producing incredible series, beginning with The Handmaid’s Tale and there is great hope and belief that they are going to have another huge hit on their hands with The Other Typist.

Keira Knightley is the mother of two daughters — Edie, 5, and Delilah, 9 months. She’s also been very busy with work. Of course with Hollywood shut down, projects have been on hold, but she stars in the 2020 movie Misbehaviour and finished filming the movie Silent Night. In addition to The Other Typist, Keira has another project in early development. It is untitled but will be spy-related.
