When a pic of Keke Palmer and August Alsina appeared on social media and fans started to wonder whether or not the two have ever dated, the actress was quick to address the rumors! Here’s what she had to say!

The pic that started the discussion was actually posted and deleted by Keke herself back in 2015 and now has resurfaced.

So did they date at the time or not?

One user who found the throwback snap showing the actress and the singer riding in the same car asked her: ‘This you?’

Keke did not hesitate to confirm before going on to clap back: ‘August was never my man lol. That’s why you’re still reaching to this day to figure out nothing.’

In reality, this is not even surprising! After all, she pretty much said the exact same thing years ago when others also started speculating they were romantically involved.

She addressed it via HelloBeautiful at the 2015 Essence Fest, saying: ‘Everybody always thinks I am dating August just because of the photo that we took together on my Instagram page, but no I’m not dating August Alsina, we are just friends.’

Interestingly enough, that question came only hours after Palmer posted a message on her Twitter.

It reads: ‘The theme is boundaries. Everybody doesn’t need to know your business, that’s not fake it’s honoring one’s privacy.’

August has been making headlines for a different reason as well and it involves another actress!

After claiming that he was in a relationship with none other than Jada Pinkett Smith in 2015, the star confirmed that was the case and talked more about it with husband Will on their Red Table Talk show.

During an interview with Angela Yee, the singer dished: ‘I totally gave myself to that relationship for years and I truly and deeply love and have a ton of love for her.’
