Kelly Clarkson is already a busy woman, but she’s just added more work to her schedule. Clarkson is a judge on The Voice, she hosts her new talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show that airs five days a week, and she is also a wife and mom of two. And now, Clarkson has announced that she will be heading to Sin City in 2020 for her Las Vegas residency titled Invincible.
The 37-year-old announced the residency during the “Kellyoke” segment of Friday’s episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, and she said that it will begin in April at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, the exact same theater where her fellow The Voice judge Gwen Stefani has been performing her Just A Girl residency.

Clarkson got creative with the announcement by singing a medley of her own hits, which she figured fans would find “super vain and weird.” She explained that she doesn’t like to sing her own songs during “Kellyoke” because she feels “like a tool,” but she had a reason this time.
Joined by a group of Las Vegas showgirls, Clarkson said that when she launched her talk show, fans voiced their concerns about her not making new music, and they were worried that she wouldn’t be touring. She told her fans not to worry because, “I got you.”
“I have a major announcement to make today: I’ve scored my very own residency in Las Vegas!” revealed Clarkson. “Not only am I getting to perform, I’m gonna get to play all the Wheel of Fortune slots, which is really my reason for going there. The gambling, the shows, the all-you-can-eat buffet and crab legs, I love all of it.”

In the press release, Clarkson said that she has always loved performing in Las Vegas because of the high energy of the crowds, and so many of her musical idols have had – or still have – incredible residencies on the Las Vegas strip. Clarkson said she is excited to have her own residency, which will run from April through September.
Clarkson’s new show is one of 16 residencies that are currently in Las Vegas, and the singer will “immerse fans in a one-of-a-kind up-close music experience” that will feature Clarkson’s award-winning catalog of hits that have spanned nearly two decades.
Tickets for Invincible go on sale to the public on November 8th. And, The Kelly Clarkson Show airs weekdays in syndication.
