Us Magazine reported today that Kelly Clarkson was already in the process of selling off some of her homes before she and Brandon Blackstock announced their divorce. The publication says that the 38-year-old American Idol alum, Clarkson, put her Tenneessee home up for sale back in December 2019 for nearly $7.5 million.

The news comes first from Redfin, who says that the house was built in 2007 and has a whopping 11 bathrooms and seven bedrooms. There is an additional four acres of property, a private dock, two spas, as well as a saltwater pool.

In May, Clarkson also put up her other home in LA for approximately $10 million, Variety reported. On her talk show back in April, Kelly said that she and her 43-year-old then-husband had bought a small bed-and-breakfast in Montana.

They were staying there during the COVID-19 pandemic. During a digital episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly said that it wasn’t open yet, and it wouldn’t start its operations for a while yet. Clarkson admitted that she and her hubby were going to live in it while building their new house.

As it was previously reported, this Thursday, on the 11th of June, it was revealed that Clarkson and Blackstock had filed for divorce on the 4th of June in LA. It came just seven years following their October 2013 wedding.

They currently have two children together, including their 5-year-old, River, and Remington, who is 4-years-old. Brandon, who also happens to be the former stepson of Reba McEntire – one of the most famous country singers of all time – has a daughter named Savannah and another son named Seth. They are both teenagers.

During a conversation with Us Magazine in February of this year, Clarkson stated that having kids changes a person in fundamental ways. She says it made her a lot stronger, but she did admit that there are a lot of difficult moments.

Kelly said it’s a really “selfless” job and it makes a person prioritize the things that matter most.
