Kelly Clarkson is back in Los Angeles after spending most of the COVID-19 quarantine in Montana with her family. Cameras recently spotted the singer walking her dog, and fans immediately noticed that she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring after filing for divorce from her husband, Brandon Blackstock.

The photos are the first of Clarkson in public since the news of her divorce broke, and an insider says that she is spending time with her kids: River, 6, and Remington, 4. Blackstock – a 43-year-old music manager – is also the father of Savannah, 18, and Seth, 14.

“Kelly is spending time in L.A. with her kids. She has been low-key and mostly stayed at home,” the source told People magazine. “She seems to be doing okay.”

Clarkson kept things casual by wearing a one-piece romper over a tee-shirt with sandals and sunglasses. She had her hair pulled up in a ponytail, and wasn’t wearing any makeup during the outing.

The Because of You singer filed for divorce from Blackstock in a Los Angeles court on June 4. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, and listed their separation date as “TBD.”

Clarkson and Blackstock married in 2013, and it appears that her insanely busy work schedule contributed to the divorce. In addition to making music and performing in her Las Vegas residency, Clarkson is also a judge on The Voice and she hosts a popular daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Last year, Clarkson and Blackstock moved their family from Nashville to Los Angeles ahead of the premiere of her talk show so she could be closer to her work. At the time, she said that the move was a “big decision,” but it seemed like a new adventure for their family.

“My husband is a really good salesman on ideas. He’s just really good at pointing out things that maybe will push me out of my comfort zone, which is why we’re really great partners in life as well,” she said in August 2019.

Blackstock’s career is just as busy as Clarkson’s, and in the past she has described him as “always working.” Blackstock is Clarkson’s longtime manager, and he also manages Blake Shelton’s career. It is not clear if Clarkson and Blackstock will continue their professional relationship after their divorce.

During the coronavirus pandemic, it appeared that Kelly Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock were doing well at their ranch in Montana with their kids, as they posted several pics and videos on social media. But, their relationship was falling apart behind the scenes.
