The RHOC star was dropped by Positive Beverage after she made some controversial COVID-19 comments and now Kelly Dodd has responded! Check out what she had to say!
As fans might know by now, Kelly had a partnership with the brand for over two years but they were not too happy about the backlash she received after ignoring COVID-19 rules and even joking that she was a ‘super spreader.’
Earlier today, the brand released an official statement via HollywoodLife, in which they announced the end of their partnership with the reality TV star and explained their reasons.
Furthermore, a spokesperson for Positive Beverage also shared via E! News that ‘Kelly was an endorser of the brand. She will no longer endorse the brand. They’re no longer connected to her, her likeness or opinions. They don’t align with those of the brand. Kelly Dodd remains an equity partner at this time.’
Not too long after the news appeared, Kelly Dodd took to her platform to respond to the whole thing, wishing the brand well and sharing an update on her own plans for the near future.
‘I am glad I could help put Positive Beverage on the map and wish them well. I am also really excited about my next venture into the beauty industry, which is my real passion. Stay tuned!’
Can someone explain to me how @RHOC_KellyDodd just said on her Instagram video that she’s not a super spreader because she & her friends got the covid vaccine when we have thousands of elderly ppl standing in lines for hours trying to get one. @Andy pls get rid of her already. pic.twitter.com/9ST4IvAbU2

As for the initial statement coming from Positive Beverage Head of Brand Zach Muchnick, he shared on Instagram that: ‘Our core values of wellness, of community, diversity and of inclusion should be reflected by our brand and anybody associated with it. It’s become pretty clear over the past few months Kelly’s controversial views and opinions have distracted from our objectives, so effective since today, we’re no longer affiliated with Kelly Dodd.’
What do you think about this situation? Are you going to support Kelly’s venture into the beauty industry or not?
