Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, will appear on NBC’s Meet the Press (MTP) and CBS‘ Face the Nation on Sunday, April 14, 2019. Kellyanne is currently making headlines for her response to news that former Obama administration White House counsel Gregory Craig was indicted on April 11, 2019, for making false statements to the Justice Department’s Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) Unit. Kellyanne Conway shared her glee on Twitter.

“BREAKING NEWS! FINALLY! WHITE HOUSE OFFICIAL INDICTED in connection with MUELLER investigation!”

It’s expected Kellyanne will weigh in on the Mueller report and investigation during both episodes and she may be asked to weigh in on the WikiLeaks case and recent arrest of Julian Assange. Meet the Press announced that immigration will be a main topic of discussion on Sunday’s show.

Though Kellyanne expressed on Twitter that “finally a White House official was indicted, Twitter immediately reminded Kellyanne Conway of Mike Flynn.

Lawyers for Gregory Craig released a statement regarding the indictment.

“This case was thoroughly investigated by the SDNY (Southern District of New York) and that office decided not to pursue charges against Mr. Craig. We expect an indictment by the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s Office at the request of the National Security Division. Mr. Craig is not guilty of any charge and the government’s stubborn insistence on prosecuting Mr. Craig is a misguided abuse of prosecutorial discretion.”

News that Kellyanne would be making the Sunday morning news rounds was met with praise and harsh criticism on social media.

Some people praised Kellyanne for the work she continues to do in the Trump administration while others responded with negative remarks.

One Twitter user responded to CBS’ Twitter announcement that Kellyanne would be on the show with the following remark.

“Will she be outfitted to a lie-detector? Then I’d watch.”
