Keyshia Cole has taken to social media to give fans an update on her quirky and fiery mother, Francine “Frankie” Lons, with a series of photos and an emotional message.

Fans discovered and fell in love with Frankie on the diva’s hit BET series, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is, however, they also quickly learned of her troubled past as a lady of the night and her many addictions.

The R&B singer recently shared a photo where she is hugging Frankie and her two sons — Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr. and baby Tobias Khale — and said she is seeking the help that she needs.

Keyshia also showed support for her mother: “My day today. 🥰 Happy YOU DECIDED ON YOUR OWN, to check YOURSELF INTO a facility to get treatment. It’s only been two weeks but, I’m trying to be hopeful and optimistic 🙃 Maybe that’s what’ll make THIS TIME different. This being what YOU WANTED AND NO ONE ELSE……..
