Kim Kardashian does not seem to care much for what critics say about her lifestyle.
Days after getting slammed for celebrating her birthday on an island in Tahiti as the world deals with the coronavirus pandemic, the 40-year-old mother of four decided to share footage of herself in a neon bikini coming out of the water.
Kanye West’s wife was defended by people in her inner circle, but now she seems ready to move forward. The sultry video was an excellent opportunity for Kim to showcase her amazing body.
Here is the caption that got the reality TV icon in trouble the first time: “40 and feeling so humbled and blessed. There is not a single day that I take for granted, especially during these times when we are all reminded of the things that truly matter. For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today. Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment. After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time. We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach, and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40”
One critic shared: “Did the pandemic go away?! Omg wish someone would’ve told me we could have massive parties.”
This nuanced voice replied: “These are dope pics, and I’m sure it was a great trip. But please remember that us regular Americans are out here still quarantining and not able to afford such luxurious trips. Everyone isn’t okay; we are struggling. So good for you, but I wish you and more celebs would read the room. Showing off your riches to people who will never be as rich as you, DURING A GLOBAL PANDEMIC, is selfish af.”
For Kim, it seems that the choice is clear.
