Kim Kardashian-West Covers Vogue Japan To Mixed Reactions — See The Photos

Kim Kardashian-West covers Vogue Japan and the photos have gone viral, but not for reasons she may want. The photoshoot has left Kim’s fans with mixed reactions and some have described the photos as being the strangest they have ever seen Kim Kardashian featured in. For starters, some fans took issue with the black, leather-strapped bondage dress Kim wore on one of the four covers snapped during the shoot. Kim Kardashian covers the August edition of the popular, fashion magazine.

Kim shared photos from the shoot on her official Instagram account where she has 142 million followers. Kim shared the following caption with her pictures.

“4 VOGUE JAPAN COVERS!!! This was an absolute dream come true for me! Styled by the legendary @anna_dello_russo and shot by @luigiandiango Make Up @makeupbymario Hair @chrisappleton1 @voguejapan @kkwbeauty.”

Anna Dello Russo, who is the creative consultant and editor-at-large for Vogue Japan styled Kim. Renowned fashion photographers Luigi and Iango captured the viral images and for makeup and hair, Kim used her own team, as well as her KKW beauty line. Luigi Murenu shared some of the avant-garde photos to his Instagram followers as well.

While some people felt the photos were strikingly different than her other pictures, there were many who said Kim Kardashian had never looked more beautiful or glamorous as she did in the snaps.

The black and white series with Kim Kardashian wearing a veil over her face seemed to draw the most praise from Kim’s followers.

Mario Dedivanovic of Makeup by Mario shared one of the photos from the Vogue Japan shoot on his Instagram page and those went viral too. While some didn’t understand the use of the fabric surrounding Kim’s face, everyone agreed that Mario’s expert application of Kim’s makeup was on point.

Confused by the picture, one commenter remarked it looked as if Kim were coming out of the womb. Another suggested she looked like a cat trapped in a blanket.

Responding to Kim’s heavy and perfect eyeliner, another follower stated that Kim bore a strong resemblance to Sophia Loren in the picture.
