Kim Kardashian-West is doing everything in her power to help those who have just been released from prison find meaningful employment and that includes bridging political divides. Working with the non-partisan group #Cut50, Kim Kardashian-West shared photos from her trip to the White House where she discussed a new partnership with Lyft. In the photos she shared, she included one where she was speaking in the presence of President Donald Trump, another photo where she was seated next to Ivanka Trump, and even a photo of herself sitting on a table along with #Cut50 team leaders Erin Haney and Jessica Jackson. Jessica Jackson is #Cut50’s co-founder and National director.
Kim Kardashian-West is taking a non-traditional approach to getting her law degree, ever since learning about the struggles many people of color face whether they were wrongfully incarcerated, are facing severe sentences, or are struggling after their release. She had direct input with President Trump regarding the First Step Act and she continues to use her voice and power to help wield change.
As the mother of two black sons: Saint West and Psalm West, the issue is one close to her heart.
Speaking about her partnership with Lyft and helping to bring them to the table, Kim Kardashian stated the following.
“I’m proud to partner on this initiative with @Lyft , a company with a history of taking bold action to do what’s right for our community. Thank you for providing ride share credits to formally incarcerated people when they come home.”
