Kristen Stewart Proud Of Charlie's Angel Reboot Regardless Of Flop -- Here's Why

The Elizabeth Banks produced Charlie’s Angels reboot has barely broken even from its $55 million budget. Kristen Stewart is proud of the film regardless of it flopping.

There was much speculation as to why the movie was bound to fail. Some people feel that Sony didn’t market it enough while others felt that the world just didn’t need another Charlie’s Angels considering the perfection of the TV show and previous movies.

There were also people who felt like Kristen herself was the reason people may have pre-judged the movie because there is a common opinion about her acting that she doesn’t express more than one emotion.

These people may not have seen anything that the actress has done after Twilight. Some came to her defense by explaining that she has evolved since her teenage years and urged people to go see the movie.

Stewart recently completed an interview on The Playlist where she revealed that she wasn’t devastated about how it performed at the box office because she thinks it’s a good movie.

‘Well, to be honest with you, I think if I had made a movie that wasn’t good and one that I wasn’t proud of and a lot of people saw it, I would be devastated. Luckily I’m not feeling gutted because I really am proud of the movie. And I think that the kind of the climate that we’re living in right now is polarizing and it’s weird and it’s kind of hard to promote a movie like that. And I think trying to have a really complicated, overly politicized feminist conversation in a five minute TV interview about ‘Charlie’s Angels’ … I’m like, ‘Dude, we just wanted to have a good time.’

She went on to acknowledge that they probably won’t do another one but it doesn’t change her opinion that it’s an important piece.

‘I’m bummed that we probably won’t make another one, but at the same time I’m really proud of the movie and I’m so happy that it exists and can live in the world. Because I think for a lot of people it’s still kind of important even in a very non-serious way.’
