Kristen Stewart Talks Robert Pattinson Relationship And Being Open About Her Sexuality

Kristen Stewart talks about her relationship with Robert Pattinson, in a new interview with Harper’s Bazaar UK. She graces the cover of the magazine where she also dishes on being open about her sexuality in Hollywood.

Stewart and Pattinson dated for years after playing on-screen love interests in the Twilight movies. Although they remained tight-lipped regarding the romance, fans could not get enough of the couple.

“When me and Rob were together, we did not have an example to go by. So much was taken from us that, in trying to control one aspect, we were just like, ‘No, we will never talk about it. Never. Because it’s ours,” the actress explained.

They broke up in 2012 after photos of her affair with director Rupert Sanders went viral. The couple reconciled briefly a few months later but called it quits permanently in 2013.

The Charlie’s Angels star kept her personal life under-wraps until she came out as bisexual in 2017.

“What, you can’t go outside with who you’re with? You can’t talk about it in an interview? I was informed by an old school mentality, which is you want to preserve your career and your success and your productivity, and there are people in the world who don’t like you, and they don’t like that you date girls, and they don’t like that you don’t identify as a quote-unquote ‘lesbian,’ but you also don’t identify as a quote-unquote ‘heterosexual.’ And people like to know stuff, so what the f#$k are you?” she admitted to the magazine.

It was a challenge for Stewart, especially in Hollywood, where she was encouraged to keep her relationship with her new girlfriend quiet to get cast in a Marvel movie.

“I have fully been told, ‘If you just like do yourself a favor, and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.’ I don’t want to work with people like that,” Stewart revealed of the advice she endured after coming out as bisexual.

Kristen Stewart has been living her life in the public eye since she landed the role of Bella in the Twilight flicks. She is starting to become more open regarding her personal life, especially her romance with Robert Pattinson.

The one subject the brunette beauty refused to keep quiet is her sexuality. Even a role in one of the hottest comic franchises around couldn’t entice Stewart to hide being bisexual.
