Very Cavallari star Kristin Cavallari has been happily married to Jay Cutler for almost six years, but their road to happily ever after did have its share of bumps and detours along the way. Cavallari recently opened up about her and Cutler’s split in 2011 and revealed that things were moving way too fast.
Cavallari recently told The Daily Mail Australia that she and Cutler got engaged after just eight months, but she called things off in 2011 because things needed to change.

“I was 23 when I met him, and I knew that I wanted to marry Jay, but some things needed to change,” Cavallari confessed. “The only way he was going to see how serious I was was if I ended it. I knew in my heart that it wasn’t really the end, but I just had to do it. It was one of the best decisions I ever made.”
The Laguna Beach star met her NFL quarterback husband in August 2010, and by April 2011, they were engaged. But, three months later she called off the wedding. They eventually reconciled and got married in June 2013.
They are now the parents of three children – Camden Jack, 6, Jaxon Wyatt, 4, and Saylor James, 3.

In next week’s episode of Very Cavallari, the 32-year-old visits her hometown to spend time with her family, and her dad, Dennis, immediately brings up her time on Laguna Beach.
“Do you remember when you were a junior in high school, and MTV came to town and you came home all excited?” Dennis recalls.
Kristin actually missed school the first day MTV visited, so she says she marched in the next day with a plan to stand out during her audition. Dennis remembers watching the show and thinking that it was a fantastic home movie, but wondered, “Who is ever gonna want to watch this crap?”

Kristin was also surprised by the fact that she ended up being the villain on the show, and her portrayal upset her at the time. She explained that being 17 or 18 years old and having people suddenly call her a b***h was a hard thing to deal with.
However, Kristin Cavallari admits she was “a great villain.”
New episodes of Very Cavallari air Sunday nights on E!.
