KUWK: Kim Kardashian Changes The Name Of Her Shapewear Following The 'Kimono' Scandal - Here's What It Is!

After the huge backlash she faced, Kim Kardashian decided to change the controversial name of her shapewear – originally ‘Kimono!’ As fans of KUWK know, social media was not at all happy the reality TV star was trying to trademark the name despite it actually referring to the traditional Japanese clothing.

That being said, Kim revealed the brand new name earlier today, telling her many followers that it’s now called: ‘SKIMS Solutionwear.’

This comes after she was accused of cultural appropriation for the whole Kimono drama.

Aside from the new and improved name of her line, the mother of 4 also revealed the date it’s set to be dropping – September 10.

Furthermore, according to her, it’s going to be available in a wide range of sizes, from XXS, all the way up to 5XL.

Kim’s tweet reads: ‘My fans and followers are a huge inspiration to me – I’m always listening to their feedback and opinions, and am so grateful they shared their ideas for a new brand name. After much thought and consideration, I’m excited to announce the launch of SKIMS Solutionwear™.’

Last month, the Kardashian admitted that she should’ve, indeed, ‘thought a little bit deeper’ before naming the line Kimono, given the cultural implications.

People were especially upset when it was reported that Kim was planning to trademark the name Kimono even though it already existed and referred to the traditional Japanese robe.

The name choice received a lot of criticism, and the hashtag #KimOhNo trended on Twitter.

Chatting with WSJ Magazine after the backlash, Kim said: ‘You would think we would have obviously thought it through a little bit deeper. I’m the first person to say, of course, I cannot believe we di not think of this. I obviously had really innocent intentions. But, let’s listen. And I really want to listen. And I want to really take it all in. I love Japan. My husband was in Japan when all this was happening. It is a place we love and go to. I have such respect.’
