The sportsman was not trying to diss his ex, Khloe Kardashian. Lamar Odom took to social media earlier today to make it very clear that he had no intention to offend the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star.

As you may know, fans accused him of comparing Khloe, with whom he was married, to his current girlfriend, Sabrina Parr.

So he posted a pic of his new love and in the caption, insisted that he actually has nothing but respect for the Kardashian and had no intention to throw shade at her.

He wrote that ‘I am a bit disappointed to read people are using my words to enforce their personal assumptions pointing towards things that just aren’t MY TRUTH OR REALITY. This post is not against anyone including my ex-wife who I still respect deeply. I’m just PRO love. Can I do that without anyone feeling offended? Why does that make you mad?”

He went on to rave over black women, saying that they ‘have been held down for centuries! I am now deciding to send them [all black women] and my NEW WOMAN a lot of love. This post goes out to the new leading woman in my life, that I am gonna tell ever day how beautiful she is, the inside and out. Thanks @getuptoparr for teaching me what real self value means. It changed my entire mindset. #woke ❤✊🏿.’

Even though their relationship ended in a pretty ugly way, since then, there really hasn’t been any bad blood between Lamar and Khloe.

Fans remember that the two became husband and wife in September of 2009, only a month after meeting one another!

In 2013, Khloe filed for divorce but two years later, she withdrew the pending papers since Lamar was in a coma and she wanted to make the medical decisions in his name, as his wife.

Of course, after he got better, she refiled the divorce papers, the process getting finalized in December of 2016.
