Lamar Odom will step into the Dancing With The Stars ballroom tomorrow night when Season 28 of the hit show premieres.
The former Los Angeles Lakers player has plenty of people he could ask for tips on what it takes to impress judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli. Odom though has decided he doesn’t need any advice on making a splash on the reality TV show.
Entertainment Tonight stopped by rehearsals to chat with the basketball player about his upcoming stint on DWTS. Odom was, of course, asked if he was seeking advice from his former in-laws, Kim Kardashian West, and Rob Kardashian.
“No, no, not at all. They both lost!” he exclaimed to the news show.

Fans will recall Kim competed on Season 7 of the reality TV show. Judges and fans were not impressed with the mother of four. She was the third person voted off DWTS.
Rob Kardashian fared much better than his older sister when he joined the show for Season 13. The Arthur George founder came in second place with dancer, Cheryl Burke. He lost the Mirrorball Trophy to J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff.
The NBA player makes a good point. The Kardashians lost, so does he really need to ask them for advice? Probably not. Odom has his own strategy that he feels will work out just fine for him.
“I’m just gonna go out there and do my best. hopefully, God will guide me, and I can do my routine,” he said, also admitting that nerves are starting to get the best of him.
Taking on the dance floor is ultimately out of the norm for the 6′ 10″ man.

“I’m an athlete, but the mannerisms are really different from a dancer to a basketball player,” he shared with ET, along with the tidbit he has done surprisingly well in rehearsals so far.
Lamar Odom will debut his dancing skills in the ballroom starting tomorrow night, Monday, September 16th, when DWTS premieres on ABC. It will be the first time fans see Odom with his partner because this year the network chose to keep the pairings under wraps until the first episode.
Odom doesn’t think he needs DWTS tips from Kim Kardashian West or Rob Kardashian. Do you agree on his thoughts or should he at least reach out to his former brother-in-law? Kim tanked, but Rob held his own.
