While Valentine’s Day is one of the happiest days of the year for most people, it definitely was not so for Lauren London and Vanessa Bryant.

For both ladies, this would be the first time, when they have to spend the romantic holiday without their spouse/partner, and they took to social media to express their feelings of grief.

Lauren, who tragically lost her longtime boyfriend, Nipsey Hussle, almost a year ago, shared a throwback photo of her and the late rapper.

In the snap, the actress and her partner seem to be enjoying themselves as they are riding a car in the sunshine.

The 35-year-old Entourage star captioned her post by stating Hussle used to tell her that “Every day was Valentine,” and he always made it special anyway.

Meanwhile, distraught Vanessa Bryant, whose happy marriage of almost 20 years ended suddenly with Kobe’s recent demise, was also missing her man on Valentine’s Day, as she dedicated a post for him.

The 37-year-old mother-of-four shared a touching throwback photo from the beginning of her marriage to the basketball legend.

In addition, Lauryn Hill’s hit song, “Tell Him,” from her debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill could be heard playing in the background.

She wrote: “To my forever Valentine, I love you so much. Missing you so much on your favorite holiday. Te amo per sempre. Kisses to you and Gigi in heaven. Happy Valentine’s Day, my babies. With all my love, your boo-boo. ❤️song: Tell Him, @mslaurynhill.”

She also explained: “I’ve been reluctant to put my feelings into words. My brain refuses to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone. I can’t process both at the same time. It’s like I’m trying to process Kobe being gone, but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong. Why should I be able to wake up another day when my baby girl isn’t able to have that opportunity?! I’m so mad. She had so much life to live. Then I realize I need to be strong and be here for my 3 daughters. Mad I’m not with Kobe and Gigi, but thankful I’m here with Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. I know what I’m feeling is normal. It’s part of the grieving process. I just wanted to share in case there’s anyone out there that’s experienced a loss like this. God, I wish they were here, and this nightmare would be over. Praying for all of the victims of this horrible tragedy. Please continue to pray for all.”

Kobe’s life was taken by a helicopter crash, which led to the death of 9 people in total, including that of his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant, on January 26.
