LeAnn Rimes has shared a loving tribute to her beloved dog Eveie after a horrible coyote attack resulted in the pooch’s death. She used Instagram to express her heartbreak over the tragic event, as well as share just how precious Eveie was to her entire family.

“Baby Girl – you are FOREVER LovEd! As sad as we are, there’s a smile that you brought to our faces that still exists and forever will!” expressed Rimes, along with a series of photos of her and her fur baby.

On Thursday the ‘Blue’ singer took to social media to share the devastating news her family had lost one of its own. Rimes revealed their pooch became the victim of a vicious coyote attack on Wednesday. She, along with husband Eddie Cibrian, was forced to stand by helplessly. Their family is devastated by losing Eveie, who was much more than a dog to her, Cibrian and his two boys, Mason and Jake. She refers to the pooch as “their girl.”

“This is one of the most difficult, heartbroken [sic] moments our whole family has ever experienced. Our baby, Eveie was attacked in front of us yesterday by a coyote. She was so much more than our dog, she was an old soul. She’d look in your eyes and speak deeply into you without any words,” expressed the 36-year-old at the beginning of a lengthily tribute.

Cibrian also used social media to share a loving tribute to the dog, who was clearly much more than a pet to him too. Both have released several photos of their beloved four-legged family member, including a Christmas picture of Eveie wearing a Santa hat. There is nothing but love for the dog, as the family cherishes the memories of their new angel in heaven.

Since news of the Rimes loss was shared, fans have been flooding her social media pages with condolences, as she continues to pay tribute to her “daughter.” In light of the horrific death of Eveie, the singer postponed three dates on her current tour so she could be close to home and process the tragedy with her family. Each of the canceled shows has already been rescheduled.
