Cyrus’ very public display of affection with her gal pal Kaitlynn Carter was the reason the hunky actor decided to end the marriage. Us Weekly has a source that claims before the photographs of the two ladies kissing in Italy emerged, Hemsworth thought the marriage might work.

“He thought they could work it out, but all those pictures of her and Kaitlynn ended that,” Liam comes from a very conservative family and his family was freaked out by it,” the unnamed source shared with the weekly magazine.

It has been less than a month since news broke Hemsworth and Cyrus were separated. However, since then, so much has happened. The ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer is not hiding her new romance or fling with Carter. While the Isn’t It Romantic star has been spending time in Australia with his family.

News the conservative Hemsworth family “freaked out” over the Carter and Cyrus PDA pictures, comes on the same day the actor returned to Instagram and announced a new project.

TMZ reported the other day Cyrus would retain custody of all the couple’s pets. Hemsworth has allegedly given up all rights to their seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats, and a pig.

Carter’s ex Brody Jenner shared on his birthday that he and Hemsworth are still boys. They two guys and their ex-wives all became close friends following the horrible Woolsey fires last year. Fans will recall Cyrus and Hemsworth lost their home in the fire.
