Liam Hemsworth Files For Divorce From Miley Cyrus

Liam Hemsworth has officially filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus. Less than two weeks after their split was announced the actor is pulling the plug on their short-lived marriage.

TMZ was first to break the news Hemsworth filed legal documents in the court of Los Angeles to end his marriage to Cyrus. He has cited the usual Hollywood reason for divorce, “irreconcilable differences.”

Days ago, reports surfaced Cyrus and Hemsworth’s families reportedly were advising their children to wait before jumping into divorce. Now it appears The Hunger Games star wants to move on with his life.

Sources share with TMZ the couple had a prenuptial agreement. Therefore, divorce proceedings should be pretty straight forward. The only sticking point could be who gets custody of their beloved dogs.

Since photographs of Cyrus making out with Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter surfaced, Hemsworth has been spending time in Australia with his friends and family. The hunky Hollywood heartthrob allegedly is over all the drama and wants a fresh start without Cyrus.

“Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated, and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward. This is a private matter, and I have not made, nor will I be making, any comments to any journalists or media outlets. Any reported quotes attributed to me are false. Peace and Love,” the 29-year-old said in an Instagram post following the split news, as well as Carter and Cyrus hook up news.

The separation date on the court document is listed as TBD, but there have been several reports claiming the famous couple has been apart for months. Fans noticed in June, Hemsworth was spotted without his wedding ring. Their breakup news has only been public a couple of weeks, but clearly, the duo has been living separate lives for a while.

Miley Cyrus has yet to respond to Liam Hemsworth filing for divorce. Ironically Hemsworth filing comes hot the heels of a TMZ report the Wrecking Ball singer was hoping to work on her marriage.

Neither one has spoken out publicly regarding the trouble in their marriage. So other than the divorce filings, everything else is pure speculation.
