Liam Hemsworth - The Actor Shares If Miley Cyrus Took His Last Name Or Not!

Liam Hemsworth proudly revealed that he and his wife, Miley now share the same last name. The actor was a guest on Live with Kelly and Ryan earlier today and while on the show, he corrected host Kelly Ripa when she called her Miley Cyrus.

The man even mentioned that it was entirely her idea!

‘Miley Ray Hemsworth now, actually. She’ll obviously still be known as Miley Cyrus, but she took my name, which is great. That was one of the best things about it, honestly. I did not ask her to take my name, but she was like, ‘No, of course, I am taking your name,’’ Liam recalled.

Furthermore, the actor was asked how it feels to call Miley ‘his wife’ ever since they tied the knot in an intimate and small ceremony.

Miley’s hubby admitted that he needed a couple of weeks or so for him to get used to it.

Now, ‘It’s become a bit more normal, but the first couple of weeks it was… I mean, it has only been a month and a half. But the first couple weeks, it was very foreign to me, with ‘wife’ and ‘husband,’’ he explained.

But now, it sounds like Liam is a huge fan of using those terms since he revealed he has her as ‘wife’ in his phone.

As for their secret wedding, Liam made it very clear that having a really small ceremony was their wish.

‘We never wanted to do anything extravagant or too big. We find the whole thing kind of embarrassing. We know how we feel about each other. We wanted something simple and organic with immediate family.’

In a previous interview for ET, Liam gushed over married life, saying that ‘it’s the best’ and that he feels ‘very lucky’ to be with Miley.
