Liam Payne Congratulates Former 1D Bandmate Zayn Malik On Expecting His First Baby With Gigi Hadid - Check Out The Sweet Message!

While Zayn Malik and the rest of his former One Direction bandmates have not been in the best of relationships ever since he left the boyband, at least one of them was quick to congratulate him over the news that he’s expecting a baby with GF Gigi Hadid! Liam Payne made sure to give Zayn and Gigi a really sweet shoutout during an IG live session and fans were very happy to see it.

His message was not lengthy or cheesy at all, however, just short and touching enough that everyone thought it was cute.

‘I just wanted to say congratulations to Zayn and Gigi. As you know, obviously, they’re having a baby,’ he said on camera before going on to joke that he was mentioning it before people could start asking ‘about it relentlessly.’

Sure enough, he managed to congratulate Zayn before too many people started flooding him with comments about it but also before any of the other guys got the chance to do it.

Not like they have to! After all, they could congratulate him in private since it seems like they have been chatting about maybe reuniting for a special surprise for fans on their 10 year anniversary.

But as far as the public sphere is concerned, Liam is definitely the first one to mention the pregnancy publicly out of the former One Direction members.

This comes four days after the mom to be, Gigi, confirmed the pregnancy while a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

‘Obviously, we wished we could’ve announced it on our terms but we are really excited, happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support. Especially during this time, it is a nice silver lining to be able to be home, be together and really experience it day by day,’ she told the host.
