Liam Payne Weighs In On Jesy Nelson's Departure From 'Little Mix' - Compares It To Zayn Malik's Exit From 'One Direction' In 2015!

After Jesy Nelson announced that she is leaving Little Mix, fans started to compare her exit from the girl group to Zayn Malik leaving One Direction! That being said, another member of the boy band addressed this perspective and it looks like he agrees with the parallels.

It all started with a fan joking on TikTok earlier today that Jesy had
Zayn’d out’ of Little Mix!

Unexpectedly enough, Liam took to the comment section to weigh in on this and he had a lot to say!

‘Let’s be serious about this. It is always sad at this moment in time when bands get into that kind of thing. Having been there myself, I felt like Zayn left for pretty much the same reason in a weird way.’

As you might know, Jesy claimed that her reason for leaving was her mental health getting worse in the last couple of years!

According to her, the pressure of being in a girl group is what had caused it and so, she knew that she needed to put a stop to it for her own sake.

Liam’s comment goes on to read: ‘I wish Jesy all the best. I also wish the girls all the best for carrying on as a 3. It is a tough time and I feel for them because everyone’s watching in that little fishbowl at the moment and no one really understands what is going on or how it feels for some people.’

This comes after Jesy took to her platform a couple of days ago to announce her departure from the group and also explain why she chose to leave after no less than 9 years as part of Little Mix!

And, sure enough, if you check out her post, you’ll soon realize that it’s pretty much the same situation as the one of Zayn Malik, who left One Direction in 2015.
