Lil’ Wayne finished 2020 with a grand slam when he uploaded his new mixtape to DatPiff, No Ceilings 3, which featured the Drake-including song, “B.B. King Freestyle.” Hot New Hip Hop says Wayne has since revealed more music from the same project.
With the Young Money Twitter account, Wayne said the B-side version of No Ceilings 3 would come out for the fans later in the day. Lil’ Twist confirmed the news this past week by revealing text messages.
According to Hot New Hip Hop, Lil’ Wayne didn’t approach the album drop as he has with other projects. He released it on DatPiff seemingly whenever he felt it was the right time to do so, which apparently went down in the mid-day.
Interestingly, 2020 has been a busy year for Lil’ Wayne for a number of reasons, including not only the new music but also the pictures he took with the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump, just before the 2020 presidential election.
As it was previously reported, Wayne came under fire in a big way from other rappers who accused him of selling his soul for the almighty dollar. Even 50 Cent, for example, speculated that Wayne must’ve been paid for appearing alongside the president.
50 Cent claimed he was offered money as well. Wayne was also in the headlines this year after he was charged with gun possession related to an incident from a couple of years ago. Interestingly, there is the possibility that Wayne will go to jail if convicted for the crime.
Putting his various controversies aside, however, fans on social media have been given the gift of new music from Lil’ Wayne and Eminem near the end of 2020.
It was reported earlier today that Eminem just dropped a new project, the deluxe version of Music To Be Murdered By which features many new songs. Thus far, the reaction to the album appears to be a bit more positive than some of his previous projects.
