Miles Richie, Lionel Richie’s 24 year old son, got in trouble with the law after reportedly threatening to detonate a bomb at Heathrow Airport in London. He was arrested, and eyewitnesses chatted with TMZ soon after, sharing some details about the incident.
One source told the outlet that after not managing to get on a flight, Miles became extremely irritated.
At this point, there is still no clear info on the reason why the young man was not allowed to board the plane.
But apparently, that is what caused him to say that he had explosive in his bag and that he would detonate it if they did not let him to get on.
And that is not all! When security came, Lionel Richie’s son proceeded to punch one of the guards in the face.
The model was then detained by the authorities, and they also issued him a ‘caution.’
The Metropolitan Police explains that in England, accepting a caution is similar to taking responsibility for an offense.
That means that he was not booked or charged with any crime and does not have to appear in court.
Regardless, his caution goes on his record.
A spokesperson for the police department told TMZ that a 24 year old ‘accepted a caution’ after ‘communicating false information causing a bomb hoax and battery following an incident at Heathrow (Airport) Terminal 5.’
That being said, it was not confirmed whether the individual was really Miles or not.
As you may know, Lionel Richie’s son is new to the modeling world as he debuted at New York Fashion Week in February of last year.
His sisters are supermodel Sofia Richie and Nicole Richie.
