Lisa Vanderpump’s friends are coming to her defense amid shocking allegations that she stole a business idea from Real Housewives of Atlanta’s NeNe Leakes. The RHOA star says she originally came up with an idea for a West Hollywood restaurant in the exact same location Vanderpump opened up PUMP.

Leakes claims that she called Vanderpump and told her about the idea when she was living in Los Angeles. Leakes has a large fan base within the gay community and thought a gay bar in West Hollywood would be a great way to cater to her fans.

Vanderpump quickly shot down the proposal and allegedly told Leakes that the location was not suitable for a restaurant.

Vanderpump opened her restaurant in the same spot Leakes allegedly spoke to her about years ago. Although Leakes claims that she planted the seed, inside sources claim that Vanderpump knew about the location long before Leakes did.

According to Reality Blurb, the property owner who runs the West Hollywood location also manages Vanderpump’s SUR headquarters. The property has been on the market for a few years and Vanderpump was reportedly waiting for the right time to turn it into a hot spot. This is why she did not want Leakes to pursue anything as she already had plans for the location.

“The Vanderpumps did not need anyone to draw their attention to it as they have an eye for locations with potential throughout West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, London and now Las Vegas,” the insider explained.

Vanderpump owns a number of different restaurants and bars in California. She is also getting ready to open a new place in Las Vegas, so it makes sense that she would be scouting new locations for potential restaurants.

Apart from her drama with Leakes, Vanderpump is also in the middle of a major feud with her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars. In the latest development, Vanderpump referred to Kyle Richards as a “bitch” after she received flak about not attending Andy Cohen’s baby shower.
