Lori Loughlin On Edge In Prison Nightmare, Alone Without Visitation As COVID-19 Breaks Out

Lori Loughlin is serving her prison sentence at the  Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California but things are reportedly not going well for the 56-year-old actress and mother of two. Though she hopes to be home for Christmas, Lori had to undergo quarantine and due to COVID-19 regulations, is unable to visit with her daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella Giannulli. She hasn’t been able to see her husband Mossimo Giannulli as well who is preparing to serve a five-month prison sentence beginning on November 19, 2020. The two plead guilty for their involvement in the college admission scam “Operation Varsity Blues.”

Now, Mercury News is reporting that the Dublin prison is undergoing a COVID-19 outbreak that is putting the 900 female inmates, including Lori Loughlin, at great risk.

Mercury News stated the following.

Because of the outbreak, Loughlin, who was convicted in the college admissions scandal, had to immediately go into quarantine. As of this Monday, the disgraced TV actress, 56, is housed in a storage building that’s been converted into a makeshift isolation unit, with temporary showers and toilets, but with no heat or hot water, and inmates forced to sleep on mats on a cold concrete floor, said prison consultant Holli Coulman.

If anyone among the 50-some women living with her tests positive for COVID, they will be given no medication to alleviate symptoms, said Coulman. Treatment only becomes available when a person’s condition becomes life-threatening.

Though Lori Loughlin hopes to be released and home by Christmas, new reports describe her “prison nightmare” as leaving her on edge and alone.

Life & Style quoted a source for their November 23, 2020, issue who stated the following.

She’s on edge 24/7, always looking over her shoulder. Being in isolation may have given her some extra privacy, but she’s not kidding herself. A menial prison job will be assigned to her and she’s to be strong, but the tears still come. She misses her family. She’s trapped in an endless nightmare where she never wakes up.

Mercury News reported that the Bureau of Prisons spokesperson Justin Long stated at this point, there have been 11 cases of COVID-19 among inmates and six cases in staff members at Dublin prison. A total of 325 inmates have been tested and there are currently no positive cases at this time.
