Olivia Jade took to her TikTok account to open up about her feelings after her mother’s college admissions scandal. As you know, both the influencer and her actress mom, Lori Loughlin, have been greatly shamed for the illegal way in which she entered University.

And while that’s mostly behind them now, since Lori has already served her jail sentence and Olivia is back to focusing on her social media career, there is still a lot to say.

So, one insider told HollywoodLife that the mother could not be any more proud of her daughter for bravely opening up about her experience being involved in this scandal.

‘Lori is so proud of Olivia for continuing to speak out. She is so proud of how Olivia has handled the whole thing and she is looking up to her, in a way, for the time comes when she does [speak out] herself.’

The same insider went on to mention that Lori is just waiting for her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, to also finish serving his 5 months long sentence before actually talking publicly about the scandal.

That being said, the man is expected to leave prison on April 17.

‘[Lori] wants to be able to speak out, but really wants to control the narrative and have Mossimo home [first]. [But] she is closer with her daughters than ever right now.’

Obviously, the whole thing affected Olivia Jade a lot and she previously talked about it on Red Table Talk as well.

But most recently, she got candid over on her TikTok, sharing a new video in which she reflected on some advice she received from a really ‘inspirational woman,’ – her mom.

‘We were talking about being in the public and being publicly shamed, and I was like, ‘Well, my situation does not even compare, I am not even going to start to compare it to yours,’ and she looked at me and said, ‘Olivia, it does not matter if I am drowning in 60 feet of water, and you are drowning in 30, we are both still drowning.”
