“Just wanted to thank everyone for their lovely words over the past couple of weeks. Back in the studio today to vocal something I wrote a few months ago. Sending you all loads of love x,” the singer Tweeted.

On March 13th, the Tomlinson family was rocked to its core when 18-year-old Félicité was found dead in her apartment in London. The Metropolitan Police Service told E! News that police were called by London Ambulance Service early in the morning.

Félicité was in cardiac arrest when emergency workers arrived on the scene. A rep for the One Direction singer later confirmed to US Weekly that his younger sister did die of a heart attack.

Although this is the first time Louis has spoken out since Félicité’s shocking death, his sisters shared a tribute to her on social media a week after she passed away. 14-year-old twins, Daisy and Phoebe, each shared a heartfelt message about their older sister on Instagram. Their posts were full of love, sadness, respect and pure emotion as they praise not only their sibling but the young woman, they both referred to as a best friend.

The entire Tomlinson family is very close, especially after losing their mother Johannah Deakin to leukemia two years ago in March. Phoebe ended her tribute to her sister by merely stating she thought their mother needed her more than they did. She also expressed how it made her feel at peace knowing Félicité and Johannah were together again.

Louis Tomlinson is a private person. He did not speak out when his mother or sister passed away. Instead, the 27-year-old chooses to channel his emotions into his music. He has not yet released a song regarding Félicité. The singer likely will since he did as a way of dealing with the pain over losing Johannah.

The song Two of Us was released two weeks after his younger sisters shocking death. It is full of honesty and emotion.

“You’ll never know how much I miss you/The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead. But you once told me don’t give up/You can do it day by day/And diamonds they don’t turn to dust or fade away,” Louis sings in part of the song.
