According to a report from Just Jared, Margot Robbie sat down with Australia’s Stellar Magazine and dished on not only what it was like to work with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, but also her insight into Sharon Tate’s character.
The 29-year-old who spoke with reporters stated she is as “excited” as everyone else for the movie. According to the I, Tonya alum, when she was on set, there was a sense of awe and wonder at the fact Margot found herself surrounded by the biggest names in filmmaking: Dakota Fanning, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Quentin Tarantino.
Regarding what it was like to work with the acclaimed director, Margot said it was a relaxed environment because there wasn’t a sense of a hierarchy; it was a lot more like hanging around family and friends.
Margot said Quentin is a great person to work with. He allows others to make mistakes and doesn’t accost or belittle them.
As for portraying the legendary actress, Sharon Tate, who was tragically murdered by the Manson Family back in 1969, Margot said portraying her allowed her to contextualize her life, rather than always just thinking about how she died.

According to the actress, after studying Sharon’s legend and character, she began to realize the importance of adding as much “life” and vividness to the role as possible. The actress added that it seems “derivative” to associate someone of tremendous heart and talent with a gruesome murder.
People who worked closely with the actress described her as “wonderful, kind, and generous,” claims Robbie and Margot felt it was her duty to bring all of those positive character traits to life.
As it was previously reported, during a promotional press conference for the movie, journalists grilled the director on why he would include “such a talented” actress like Margot and not give her more lines. Quentin succinctly said in response to the reporter’s estimation as to why he did so with: “I disagree with your hypothesis.”
