On the set of Margot Robbie’s new film Amsterdam, she was accompanied by some highly dedicated coworkers—perhaps even to a fault, if law enforcement officials have anything to say about it.
The 32-year-old actress recently appeared on The Tonight Show and recounted how, when working with director David O. Russell, “no day is the same” since he doesn’t want to stop and could go on forever with creating a picture.
The same may be said for Christian Bale, who plays the leading role in this movie. Christian Bale is a very, very fantastic actor and is also known for playing this outstanding character. Robbie revealed to host Jimmy Fallon that both are highly committed to their craft and the film they are working on.
David’s ‘cut’ command never stopped this movie. According to her, this means we never came to a complete halt.
But behind the scenes, one day, while they were filming Amsterdam, it was a very different tale. The cast and crew’s time had run out in line with the permit, and the authorities were required to get involved.
Robbie enlightened us on obtaining permission to film in a particular location. Unfortunately, we were in Pasadena when the allotted time ran out. And we were supposed to leave, but we didn’t want to do so. And the producers are losing their minds as David keeps going and Christian keeps acting as if nothing is wrong.
And then, ultimately, the Pasadena police showed up [on] the set with us as we were all telling them to Stop. You must refrain from doing that. You really ought to put an end to that. Please, she pleaded with him.
Robbie claims that as soon as one of the officers said “wrap,” everyone immediately laid down their equipment and began packing up.
I was like, Wow. This Pasadena, California, the footage was just finished by a policewoman. She continued by saying that it was fantastic.
