According to a report from BET.com, Master P and Nipsey Hussle were working on a track together approximately two days before he was shot. The aforementioned artists were collaborating together for the music entrepreneur’s movie, I Got The Hook Up 2.
Reportedly, Hussle and the iconic hip-hop artist were frequent collaborators and would meet up on a regular basis for creative purposes. During a conversation with People Magazine about his song with the MC, Master P claimed Nipsey should’ve gotten more recognition for his activism.
Young Thug made similar comments on social media last week when he suggested there was a lot of “fake love” surrounding the death of the boyfriend of Lauren London. Master P said to the outlet, “Everything he got after he died, he deserved that before.”

Master P said most people had never even heard of Nipsey Hussle before he passed away, but after Eric Holder shot him on the 31st of March outside of his clothing store in Los Angeles, his legend quickly ballooned. Putting that aside, Master P believes there is a chance their song together will add to his legacy and activism.
The New Orleans MC said Mr. Hussle took care of his family and his girlfriend, moreover, he made tremendous contributions to the community from which he grew up. Master P said he does the same thing in the area, however, it doesn’t matter whether he gets credit or not, because the right thing to do is the right thing to do.
Nipsey Hussle was shot and killed on the 31st of March by a 29-year-old man named, Eric Holder. Allegedly, Mr. Holder knew Nipsey and the dispute was personal.
Following his death, many people on social media believed there was a conspiracy to have him killed. Regardless, since he passed, there has been an outpouring of support for the Victory Lap rapper, including industry greats like DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, T.I, and more.
DJ Khaled released a track with John Legend titled, “Higher,” coming off his latest album, The Father Of Asahd, which debuted at number 2 on the Billboard albums chart.
